Bob TuckerBob Tucker is a local artist, having lived just outside Honiton with his wife and family for the last twenty years. He was born in Newton Abbot in 1951. He started his full-time career as an artist in 1972.
With no formal art training, Bob has preferred to explore his subject matter in his own way. Over the years he has painted a variety of subjects in oils but landscapes, including Dartmoor and coastal scenes, have remained his main interest. He has an impressive number of customers who collect his work.
Bob has given talks and demonstrations to various groups, including art societies, in Devon.
For some years Bob has exhibited his pictures at Libra Court Studios and Galleries. He currently has an extended selection of pictures on show at Libra Court, including some local views. If you would like to see him at work he is painting on the premises on Thursdays and Fridays (and occasionally other days).
Bob's Studio and Gallery
is
situated on the first floor of Libra Court, with an excellent view
over the courtyard. It is a light and airy room with perfect
northerly light, making it very conducive to inspirational
creations. Since he has been with us at Libra Court, an ever growing
number of visitors have discovered his work and have
subsequently invested in one of his atmospheric moonlight coastal
scenes, or been captivated by his tranquil moorland paintings. The
gallery is open every day from 9.00am to 5.00pm (10.00am to 4.00pm
Sundays).
